Multiplication Tests

So, I was trying to come up with a creative way to get my students motivated to pass their timed multiplication tests. I was reading The Mailbox (a teacher magazine) and there was a really cute idea in there. I made little cars for each one of my students. Every time they pass a test, they get a key for that number. Example: if a student passes their 1's, they will get a key that has a number 1 on it. When I was explaining this to my students they were so excited, except for my one really smart GATE kid. He asked, "What happens when you get all your keys?" Well, I hadn't thought that far yet, so I told him I would have to think of something. So, I decided that when a student gets all of their keys, they will get their "Driver's License". I used my Cricut (really cool scrapbook thing), to make a fake I.D. that the students can put their face into and then I will take their picture. When I showed the students my awesome creation, they were so excited and now they even go home and practice their multiplication facts! Love it!
